During my recent business trip to Longreach, my director had chosen Saltbush Retreat Villa as our accommodation. I was amazed by the innovative water system implemented by the third-generation graziers who own the retreat. Their award-winning system defied gravity, making water run uphill—a truly remarkable feat. The facilities provided at Saltbush Retreat Villa were exceptional.
I should have stayed in Barcaldine for a second night rather than staying here.

We had a great time at Saltbush Retreat! The staff were incredibly accommodating and understanding. They made sure our needs were met and even allowed us to stay longer when my pregnant wife wasn't feeling well. The location was convenient for visiting Stockland and Qantas Museum. The cabins were clean, quiet, and of high quality. We were greeted by kangaroos, which was a unique experience. our stay here was the best accommodation we had during our road trip from Darwin to the Sunshine Coast.
We felt so well taken care of at Saltbush Retreat, we have no complaints whatsoever.

Longreach is such a friendly outback town, perfect for young party-goers like us. We had a blast exploring all the top attractions with the Longreach Legends Pass. We went on station tours, cruised the Thomson River at sunset, and even tried some water sports. It was the ultimate outback adventure!
The only thing we wished for was a bit more nightlife in Longreach. As teenagers, we love to party and have fun, so having a few more options for young people to hang out and enjoy the evenings would have made our stay even better.

I recently stayed at a fantastic retreat in Longreach and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The cabin was spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The shower was excellent and the kitchen area had everything I needed. The pool was a great place to unwind and the staff were incredibly friendly. Not to mention, the location was perfect, with major tourist attractions and a walking track nearby. I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
Totally recommend this hotel.

The location was ideal, within walking distance of both the museum and the hall of fame. The new wing had a unique design with interesting finishes. The beds were comfortable and the shower had great pressure. The inclusion of a kitchen was a useful addition.
The cabins felt cramped and lacked a lounge area. The decor was dark and depressing.
